So .... many of you may not know this about me but my third child and only girl was born at 28 weeks gestation....WOW!!! I did not know much about preemies other than they were really tiny... boy was I wrong. Only a family living the NICU life can really relate. The endless nights of leaving your baby in the care of nurses in hoes that the dreaded phone will not ring as it may be bad news... the endless trips to and from the hospital praying that your precious baby will be strong enough for you to hold....
To bring me to my next point I have found this blog that I can not stop reading... about a one pound miracle... This sweet baby Kayleigh needs any and every prayer you can give. Check the blog out here.

Bless your heart! My daughter was not a preemie but she is a heart baby.. and I agree with you, you never understand or realize exactl how it feels until you go through it. I never in my life thought I would go through something like this.. now we are just 2 weeks away from my 8 month old daughter first open heart surgery.
I have followed Kayleigh for a while and it is heart breaking. I have a heavy heart for all that you went through.
Blessings,
Crystal (heart mom)
Oh, I can't even imagine what you went through. You have a lovely blog~
Thank you so much for sharing your heart warming story! I read it with tears streaming down my face. My oldest had to have surgery at 5 days old, we had already gone home, then had to drive 3 hours to another hospital for the surgery. He couldn't be in with the other babies, but was still considered in the NICU. The hardest thing I ever had to go through was leaving him "alone" each night.
I awarded you a blog award, if you head on over to my blog, you'll see it on there.
